vision.
In 2016, HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman saw the transformation the Kingdom's defense sector needed roughly ten years before it became truly urgent. The vision was there. The investment was made. But the capabilities were not delivered.
Closing that gap is what MASNA’s capital finances.
MASNA was launched two weeks before the outbreak of conflict in the region. Our thesis was strengthened by what transpired: localization stopped being an aspiration and became a strategic necessity. Modern defense is won by controlling the supply chain, the manufacturing base, and the capability to build and sustain advanced systems at home. That's precisely what we invest to ensure happens, with MASNA as Saudi Arabia's first CMA-regulated private sector investment fund.
What makes MASNA unique - our moat - is privileged access to a value chain and tech pipeline that is as ambitious as MASNA is groundbreaking. MASNA is the financial engine that turns the localization thesis from a vision into an asset base. With our manufacturing partner SR2 Defense Systems, we capitalize the last-mile of activation for systems to enter the market on a timeline measured in months, not years. Working capital to carry programs, leveraging ready-now tech and local manufacturing facilities, from term sheet to delivery. Because these systems are world-leading and in demand globally, we manufacture export quality with identified export market needs, which in turn makes the Kingdom part of the allied supply chain - and diversifies sales bases from locally dependent to globally competitive.
We firmly believe in the brilliance of the Vision. The recent conflict in the region proved how clairvoyant it was. MASNA is here to execute and deliver. Where others see challenge and shortcomings, MASNA sees the opportunity of a generation.
